MMFF extends theatrical run of its 10 entries
The Metro Manila Film Festival has extended the theatrical run of all 10 of its entries.
In a statement on Sunday evening—originally the last screening day—the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said that in response to "numerous" requests from the public, the movies' theatrical run will be extended through January 14.
"We at the MMFF would like to express our deepest gratitude to all who have supported us and watched the movie entries, particularly those who requested for the MMFF movies to extend beyond its original run," the statement quoted MMDA Acting Chairman Romando Artes as saying. "Marami pong salamat sa inyong patuloy na pagtangkilik. Moviegoers, may mga karagdagang araw pa para panoorin lahat ng MMFF entries."
Complimentary passes will also be honored until January 14.
The ten entries to the latest MMFF are “Family of Two (A Mother And Son’s Story),” “Penduko,” “When I Met You in Tokyo,” "Becky and Badette,” "Broken Hearts Trip,” "Firefly,” "GomBurZa,” "Rewind,” “(K)Ampon,” and “Mallari.”
"Firefly," an offering from GMA Pictures, won the awards for Best Picture and Best Screenplay.
