Prosperity starts at home! Feng shui master gives tips on how to attract luck this New Year

As we kick off 2024, we want to attract as many positive vibes as possible to ensure a safe and abundant new year.

In Thursday’s episode of “Unang Hirit,” hosts Suzi Abrera and Matteo Guidicelli were joined by feng shui consultant Master Michael de Mesa as they visited two houses in Caloocan.

Master Michael noted some areas in each house that need feng shui cures while also giving tips on how to attract luck and prosperity into the homes.

Whether you practice feng shui or you simply want to know easy must-dos that can help improve the energy of your space, Master Michael has the following tips:

1. Declutter! With Chinese New Year around the corner, the home’s entrance should be clean and organized.

2. From the main door, it helps to maintain the clean, “maaliwalas” feel. This enables positive energy to flow freely around the space.

3. Take note of the location of your bedroom. If it’s in the southeast sector, you need to counter the illness star in the sector by using metal elements. Do this by using gray or silver beddings, pillow covers, and curtains.

4. Avoid placing mirrors at the foot of the bed. Instead, mirrors should be placed in an area that reflects a beautiful view to attract positive energy.

5. Your house should be well-lit so that energy flows throughout the space.

Master Michael would like to remind everyone that each house differs from one another and may require specific feng shui cures. You need to take note of the placement of stairs and the bedrooms so you can check it against a feng shui or bagua map.
