'Night at the Museums' to hold grand first anniversary tour this October

Trade in your usual nights out for something more meaningful — how about rediscovering Manila?

The Night at the Museums, an event that brings tourists all around the capital city, is set to celebrate its first anniversary this month with a grand edition. Tourists will be able to visit museums and art galleries among other notable places in historic parts of Manila, such as Binondo, San Nicolas, Escolta, and for the first time, Intramuros.

“Take a deep dive into the stories of Manila through the artifacts, galleries, buildings, and halls that shape its colorful and ever-evolving cityscape,” organizers The Heritage Collective said on Facebook.

Guests will be able to explore Manila’s multicultural features and celebrate its rich diversity in places such as the newly-restored Bahay Tsinoy, Museum of Chinese in Philippine Life and the Chinatown Museum.

“Glimpses of the cosmopolitan facets of this bustling Capital can be revealed in Escolta’s Calvo Museum and in San Nicolas’ Alcaiceria de San Fernando Museum where centuries of trade and commerce take the spotlight,” the organizers added.

The tour ends at Binondo’s newest roofdeck restaurant, Mento at Ramada Hotel.

Those who join the tour don’t have to worry about transportation because, in true Manila form, they will explore the city in a private jeepney.

The tour can only accommodate 15 people. It is priced at P1,600 and registration will be through a Google Form on The Heritage Collective’s website.

It’s happening for one night only, on October 14 at 3 p.m. The meet-up will be at Bahay Tsinoy, Intramuros, Manila.

Aside from The Heritage Collective, Night at the Museums is also organized by AKIM/Manila Girls and Manila By Night.
