Manobo students in Kidapawan to get new classrooms from GMA Kapuso Foundation
Two new classrooms will be constructed for the Manobo students of the Lake Agco Integrated School in Kidapawan City after their school was hit by an earthquake in 2019.
According to “24 Oras,” Friday, the GMA Kapuso Foundation, through its Kapuso School Development Project, held a groundbreaking ceremony for the school's new classrooms.
Lake Agco Integrated School teacher Randy Altamero commended the students for continuing their studies despite the challenges.
“Kahit ganito yung sitwasyon namin, nakikita ko talaga na sisikapin talaga nila na makapag-aral kahit na talagang nakikita sa mga mukha nila na nahihirapan,” Altameron said.
“Ito’y magiging napakatibay kasi mostly yung ating structure is buhos,” Engineer Anrel Zantua said.
Moreover, the foundation handed out vegetable seeds to the residents through the Gulayan sa Paaralan project.
“Sana yan po ay pangalagaan ninyo para hindi lang po yung mga bata ngayon ang makinabang, marami pa hong henerasyon,” GMA Kapuso Foundation Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Rikki Escudero-Catibog said.
For those who are interested to help, the GMA Kapuso Foundation is accepting donations through bank deposits, Cebuana Lhuillier, GCash, Shopee, PayMaya, Zalora, MegaMart, Globe Rewards, Metrobank credit card, and Lazada.
