Here's the official invitation to King Charles' coronation
The coronation of King Charles III and the Queen Consort is fast approaching and on social media Wednesday, the official accounts of the Royal Family shared the invitation.
"Designed by Andrew Jamieson, the invitation features the motif of the Green Man, an ancient figure from British folklore, symbolic of spring and rebirth, to celebrate the new reign," it said.
Hand-painted in watercolor and gouche are their Majesties’ arms as well as the emblematic flowers of the UK, and a British wildflower meadow and wildlife.
To be reproduced and printed on recycled card "with gold foil detailing," the invitation will be sent to 2,000 invited guests.
The coronation of King Charles III will take place on May 6, 2023. Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and First Lady Louise "Liza" Araneta-Marcos have accepted the invitation to attend the historical event.
According to The Presidential Communications Office, Marcos and the First Lady have accepted the invitation of the Master of the Household, upon command of His Majesty, to a reception at the Buckingham Palace on May 5 ahead of the coronation of their Majesties.
