Award-winning journalist Kara David makes a cameo on 'Zero Kilometers Away,' writes own lines

Kara David didn't just make a cameo in the final episode of online series, "Zero Kilometers Away," the award-winning journalist actually wrote her own lines!

In the finale, which aired on Thursday night, Kara encounters a crying Gwen (Kyline Alcantara), who quickly recognizes the news personality. Gwen aspires to work in journalism, after all. 

When Gwen asked for Kara for "the best way to cure a broken heart," the GMA News pillar gave her a beautiful piece of advice. 

"Ang pag-ibig ay isang paglalakbay. Kailangan mong dumaan sa mga matatarik na daan, mahirap na daan para maabot mo ang kaligayahan," Kara began.

"Minsan madadapa ka, minsan malulubak ka, minsan magkakamali ka. Pero sa kabila ng lahat, marami pa ring bagay ang dapat ipagpasalamat," she continued.

"Zero Kilometers" Away aired its sixth and final episode on Thursday. As of writing, it already has more than 175,000 views on Facebook.

Along with Kyline, Mavy Legaspi also headlined the on the show. Together, their characters navigated the online dating world.

Kim Atienza, Iya Villania-Arellano, and Drew Arellano also starred in the series.

Kara reports on programs like "i-Witness" on GMA and "Brigada" on GTV.
