GMA's Annette Gozon-Valdes graces the March cover of The Business Manual
None other than GMA Senior Vice President and GMA Films president Annette Gozon-Valdes graced the cover of The Business Manual on International Women's Month.
On Instagram late Tuesday, the business magazine revealed its March cover with the headline "How to innovate a legacy brand according to Senior Vice President of GMA Network Inc., Annette Gozon-Valdes."
In a series of Instagram posts, The Business Manual highlighted the plenty accomplishments of Gozon-Valdes as well as the innovations she has spearheaded including bringing the Korean wave to the Philippines, successfully adapting foreign shows like "Marimar," "Descendants of the Sun," and the upcoming "Voltes V: Legacy" to the local market, and coming up with celebrated original titles like "Encantadia" and "Mulawin."
"I never saw gender as an obstacle to doing anything. I think that being a female, we can leverage our specific traits that distinguish males from females and use them as weapons in terms of business," Gozon-Valdes said.
Outside the television industry, she also served as an associate professor in UP College of Law, where she taught Taxation and Legal History.
Apart from graduating cum laude with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Management Engineering from Ateneo de Manila University, Gozon-Valdes also graduated as the valedictorian and cum laude of her batch at the University of the Philippines, where she earned a degree in Bachelor of Law, and has a masters in law from the prestigious Harvard University.
On her Instagram account, Gozon-Valdes shared the magazine cover and thanked the Business Manual, and editor RJ Ledesma. "Happy Women's month!" Gozon-Valdes added.
