Panagbenga festival returns to the streets with a vibrant Grand Float parade

After three years of hiatus, the much-awaited Panagbenga Festival in Baguio City made its colorful comeback in 2023.
On Sunday morning, more than 20 participants showcased their unique floats along Session Road, Harrison Road, and the Melvyn Jones Grandstand and Football Field in the City of Pines.
One of the highlights from the Grand Float Parade was a seven-meter-long float with over 3,000 bundles of flowers with a phoenix-themed design, symbolizing Baguio's rapid recovery from the effects of COVID-19.
The Panagbenga festival is an annual flower festival celebrated every February in Baguio as an ode to the city’s flowers. The word "Panagbenga" originated from the Kankanaey dialect, which translates to English as "season of blooming."
