A new version of Jim Paredes’ EDSA anthem “Handog ng Pilipino sa Mundo” has just been released.
Uploaded on YouTube Thursday, the remake of the 1986 song features a modern arrangement, video treatment, and a rap portion performed by Elmo and Arkin Magalona.
Among the performers include Paredes himself, Boboy Garrovillo, The Company, Bituin Escalante, Noel Cabangon, Pinky Marquez, Celeste Legaspi, and Mitch Valdez.
In the video, scenes from the EDSA People Power Revolution continued to play in the background.
The words “Mabuhay ang kalayaan, isabuhay ang kalayaan” were shown towards the end.
