That Eraserheads-signed guitar auctioned to help Parokya ni Edgar's Gab Chee Kee just sold for P1.3M.
On Facebook, Parokya proudly shared the news, saying it was Circus Music Festival executive producer Bryan Beran who won the auction.
"He claimed the guitar earlier this morning and directly paid his winning bid of ?1,300,000.00 to the hospital's accounting office. He and his team was also able to visit Gab in the ICU," Parokya's post read.
"Maraming-maraming salamat Bryan and Circus Music Fest sa inyong tulong! Kita-kita ulit tayo soon!" Parokya ended its post the accompanied photos of Beran paying the bill and holding the precious guitar, designed by Gab himself.
Parokya's frontman Chito Miranda announced the auction on social media earlier this month.
Beginning February 4 at P50,000, the auction went on for 10 days.
Last month, Chito revealed Gab's medical condition, saying he was hospitalized due to pneumonia, a complication brought on by his lymphoma.
Earlier this week, Parokya gave an update on Gab's situation. Posting a photo of the guitarist's hand giving an OK sign, the band said he was still in the ICU but was steadily improving.
