Lualhati Bautista's family to open novelist's wake to the public on February 15

Lualhati Bautista's family has announced the schedule of the famed novelist's wake and internment.

"Our family is inviting all who would like to pay respects and celebrate the life of our beloved, Ms Lualhati Bautista, known writer and novelist," the wrote using Bautista's Facebook account.

While the wake that began on Monday is exclusive only to family and friends, the public is welcome to pay their respects on February 15, Wednesday at St. Peter Chapels in Commonwealth, Quezon City.

"Interment is scheduled on February 17, 2023 at Holy Cross Memorial Park Quirino, Novaliches Quezon City," they added.

Lualhati Bautista passed away on Sunday morning. She was 77 years old.

Some of Bautista's most famous literary works include "Dekada 70", "Bata, Bata, Pa'no Ka Ginawa?" and "GAPÔ," among other novels.
