MMFF’s summer edition is launching in April

More movies are coming to Philippine cinemas in April!

According to a “24 Oras” report Tuesday, the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) summer edition will run from April 8 to 18 in theaters nationwide.

Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and MMFF overall chairman Romando Artes said the Parade of Stars is tentatively scheduled for April 8, and the awards night for April 11.

In partnership with the Cinema Exhibitors Association of the Philippines, MMDA said the festival aims to encourage Filipinos to patronize local films.

“At this Summer Film Festival, atin pong magiging theme ay ‘Tuloy-tuloy ang Saya’ and hopefully, maging tradition din ito tulad ng December MMFF,” Artes said.

For interested producers and filmmakers, the deadline for submission of entries is on February 17.
