Timothée Chalamet's newest film, the cannibal love story ‘Bones and All’ to screen nationwide with no cuts
The cannibal love story “Bones and All,” starring Timothée Chalamet, is set to screen nationwide — with no cuts — beginning November 23.
Based on the novel by Camille DeAngelis, the film is a story of first love between Maren (Taylor Russell) and Lee (Chalamet).
They “meet and join together for a thousand-mile odyssey” around Ronald Reagan’s America.
However, despite their efforts, all roads lead back to their terrifying pasts and to a final stand that will determine whether their love can survive their otherness.
The film earned an R-16 rating from the Movie & Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) due to “graphic but non-gratuitous depiction of violence and gore,” according to a press release.
Meanwhile, it was described by The New York Times as “gory, ridiculous, and curiously touching.” The Los Angeles Times added that it was “unsettling and heartbreaking in equal measure.”
“Bones and All” is directed by Luca Guadagnino — the same genius who directed "Call Me By Your Name." Screenplay is provided by David Kajganich.
