Binibining Pilipinas withdraws franchise from Miss Grand International

The Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI) announced it's officially withdrawing from Miss Grand International and "will no longer renew its franchise" moving forward.

The announcement came on Monday on Binibining Pilipinas Organization's official social media pages.

"We thank the organizers of Miss Grand International and wish them the best in their future endeavors," BPCI wrote.

"With that said, we remain committed to delighting our followers and sponsors through the productions of world-class pageants that help propel Filipinas to reach their fullest potential and achieve greatness in an international stage," the organization added.

BPCI ended its announcement by reflecting on its 60 years in the pageant industry.

"We have built BPCI's legacy in producing a stellar roster of international winners and over the decades we have enjoyed the immense support of our fans," the statement read.

"We will be forever grateful for their dedication, passion, and love for Bb. Pilipinas and our Queens," BPCI concluded.

Philippine representative Roberta Tamondong finished in the Top 20 of Miss Grand International 2022.

Shortly after the finals, Roberto was appointed as the new Miss Grand International 5th runner-up after Yuvna Rinishta of Mauritius resigned three days after the coronation night. — LA, GMA Integrated News
