Maggie Wilson gets a new tattoo in Thailand, and it included a sacred ceremony to accomplish it
Maggie Wilson just got a new tattoo and on Instagram, she not only showed it off but also explained going through a special ceremony of prayers and blessings to get the traditional Thai Five-Line Sak Yant tattoo done.
"This piece is special because I had to go through a sacred ceremony of prayers and blessings to have it done," the celebrity model-entrepreneur said, adding she did her research "to check that I didn't offend anyone by having it."
Her new tattoo, Maggie continued, is not only particularly for women but is actually "considered sacred, which is why I chose to do it the traditional way, by a master."
Maggie clarified the speck of gold isn't actually part of the tattoo; instead it was part of the blessing.
Along with the photo of the tattoo, Maggie shared video snippers of the ceremony of prayers and blessings she experienced before getting her sacred ink done on her back, as well as the explanation of each of the five lines of her tattoo.
Maggie has a number of tattoos inked all through her body, a representation of the different people, seasons, phases that mean a lot to her.
"My tattoos are a representation of me, my past, my present and my future outlook," she continued. "A story book about my life. I will never change them nor cover them."
