Google pays tribute to Pinoy playwright Severino Reyes

A tribute has been posted online, via Google doodle, for Filipino playwright Severino Reyes on his 161st birth anniversary.

The colorful doodle shows Reyes and scene showing a seated "Lola Basyang" telling a story to small children.

Lola Basyang is the pen name used by Reyes for Liwayway magazine.

He was also known as the "Father of Tagalog plays," having written zarzuelas and dramas. -- BAP, GMA News
