A 20th anniversary ’Harry Potter’ special is coming to HBO Go this New Year — here’s everything you need to know

It’s been 20 years since we witnessed Harry Potter board the Hogwarts Express on Platform 9¾ on screen.

Filipino fans will soon be able to revisit the spectacular magical adventure with the cast in an exciting retrospective special coming to HBO Go this New Year.

According to Warner Media, “Harry Potter 20 the Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts” reunites the golden trio Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Emma Watson (Hermione Granger), and Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) to celebrate the anniversary of the franchise’s first film.

The tribute will also feature esteemed cast members from across all eight films, including Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange), Ralph Fiennes (Voldemort), Gary Oldman (Sirius Black), Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy), Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid), Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy), Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood) and more.

According to Warner, the special is produced by Warner Bros. Unscripted Television in association with Warner Horizon at the iconic Warner Bros. Studio Tour London — The Making of Harry Potter.

“Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts” premieres this January 1, 2021 exclusively on the streaming platform HBO Go.

While waiting for the magical event, HBO Go subscribers can also catch up on all eight Harry Potter films and “Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament of Houses.” — LA, GMA News
