Pia Wurtzbach, Catriona Gray proud of Beatrice Gomez for Top 5 finish in Miss Universe


Former Miss Universe queens Pia Wurtzbach and Catriona Gray have nothing but pride for Philippine bet Beatrice Luigi Gomez after she finished in the the Top 5 of the 70th Miss Universe pageant.

Pia tweeted her support for the Cebuana beauty queen, noting what she calls a "strong performance" throughout the competition.  

“We are super proud of you Miss Philippines Bea! Strong performance!” wrote the Miss Universe 2015.

 

 

Catriona meanwhile said Beatrice really did make the country proud. 

“You made us so proud, Bea!” she tweeted. “Mabuhay ka!” she added in her Instagram story.

Before bowing out of the competition, Luigi slayed the international stage in a sexy pink swimsuit, a red evening gown, and her “Bakunawa” national costume during the preliminaries.

Beatrice also made history in September after becoming the first openly out member of the LGBTQIA+ community to win the Miss Universe Philippines crown.
