Beatrice Luigi Gomez is in the Top 10 of Miss Universe 2021!

Bea Luigi Gomez just made the Top 10 at the 2021 Miss Universe competition!

The Philippine bet proved to be a strong contender for the crown during pageant's final night in Eilat, Israel, Monday morning (Philippine time).

In her VTR, Bea described her mother as her ultimate role model for women empowerment.

“She showed me that challenges we faced can go through in life well be able to overcome it as long as you are determined and that you are responsible for your actions," she said.

Bea also revealed the reason why she joined the Philippine Navy Reserve Force at the height of the pandemic.

"I joined the navy for a reasonand that is to help the most vulnerable communities in my home town in Cebu City," she said.

Beatrice, who hails from Cebu City, already made history in September after becoming the first openly out member of the LGBTQIA+ community to win the Miss Universe Philippines crown.

She wowed the crowd at the preliminaries in a sexy one-piece swimsuit and a show-stopping “Bakunawa” national costume inspired by a serpent-like Philippine mythological creature.

Luigi also ruled the runway in a fiery red evening gown by world-renowned Filipino fashion designer Francis Libiran.

The star-studded panel of the night includes Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera, supermodel Adriana Lima, TV host Adamari López, actresses Urvashi Rautela, Rena Sofer, Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere and Steve Harvey’s daughter Lori Harvey.

Should she win, Beatrice would be the fourth Filipina to be crowned Miss Universe. — LA, GMA News
