Chef creates Encantadia-themed cake to put spotlight on Philippine fantasy at international competition
Fancy an Encantadia-themed cake?
A chef from Bulacan recreated the likenesses of Imaw and the four Sang'gres—Pirena, Amihan, Alena, and Danaya—for an international cake competition.
According to Chef Madelane Lopez Maddagan, she made the cake to "showcase our own Philippine fantasy."
The masterpiece will be entered in the Cake Star 2021 under the Sculpted Figure Category.
As of writing, photos of Maddagan's creation have attracted thousands of likes and hundreds of comments and shares from netizens who can't help but be wowed by the cake's intricate details.
Others, meanwhile, said the cake looks like it's perfect as a collectible.
Maddagan has been a cake artist for five years. She and her husband have created more masterpieces in the past through their home-based business.
