This art fair will put Tarlaqueño art on centerstage
Attention art lovers: Tarlaqueño art will take centerstage at the province's first-ever "Tarlac Art Fair" happening this October 1 (Friday) to November 13, 2021 at Diwa ng Tarlac.
The six weeks-long event will showcase a diverse lineup of paintings, sculptures, photographs, pottery and crafts by Tarlaqueño artists, including Judeo Herrera, Harlem Sunga, Carlo Ramos Dizon, and Mark Lander Garcia.
Tarlac Art Fair 2021, organized by the Tarlac provincial government, is a satellite exhibition of ManilART, the country’s premier annual national art fair.
This year's theme is “Continuing Legacy."
"Through the first ever Tarlac Art Fair, we aim to acquaint the public with our province’s take on Philippine contemporary art,” Tarlaqueña artist and organizer Melissa Yeung-Yap said in the release.
P.S. Don't worry if you can't attend physically. Tarlac Art Fair 2021 will also be using digital platforms to provide art-lovers with a chance to enjoy the collection despite travel restrictions brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The virtual setup will be available on platforms provided by Tarlac Art and ManilART. — LA, GMA News
