Gazini Ganados bids farewell as last Binibining Pilipinas Universe

With the Miss Universe franchise no longer affiliated with the Bb. Pilipinas Charities Inc. since 2019, Gazini Ganados holds a unique position as the last Binibining Pilipinas Universe.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday, the beauty queen shared photos of herself wearing a gorgeous yellow gown she wore at the 57th Binibining Pilipinas coronation night and bade her farewell.

"Our journey has finally come full circle. My life changed forever," she wrote. "I was blessed not only with seven beautiful queen sisters, but also a Family."

Thanking her supporters and the Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. family, Gazini spoke to the new line of beauty queens and congratulated them "for taking this leap of faith. In all that you do, do it with all your heart. A binibini has the voice to inspire others, a compassionate heart to act, a determination to carry on. That, is Beyond Beautiful."

With such gravity, she ended her speech, saying "This is Gazini Ganados your last Binibining Pilipinas Universe."

Gazini, along with her other Binibining Pilipinas 2019 queens, has officially ended her reign as the former queens crowned the newly appointed ones during the coronation night held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum last Sunday night .

During the grand event, Hannah Arnold was crowned Binibining Pilipinas International, Samantha Panlilio as Binibining Pilipinas Grand International, Cinderella Obeñita as Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental, and Maureen Montagne as Binibining Pilipinas Globe.

For more than 50 years, the Philippines' Miss Universe representative was chosen by the BPCI. In December 2019, the Miss Universe Philippines Organization, headed by Miss Universe 2011 third runner-up Shamcey Supsup as the national director, announced it was taking over the franchise of the most prestigious beauty pageant.
