Rabiya Mateo enters the Miss Universe Top 21
Rabiya Mateo has successfully moved forward as one of the Top 21 in the 69th Miss Universe competition in Florida, USA.
The Filipina beauty queen is now one step closer to winning the crown after besting dozens of candidates during the preliminary competition, where she wowed in her Philippine-inspired national costume, sun-inspired Furne One evening gown, and a cute yellow two-piece bikini.

From 74 delegates, the Miss Universe competition is down to 21. From here, the top 21 will proceed to the swimsuit competition.

In her short video, Rabiya shared how education transformed her life.
"I live in a country where there’s a lot of poor families and education is our social equalizer that regardless of what background we have, the status of your family, if you educate yourself you will be able to land a great job," she said.

Rabiya Mateo hopes to be the fifth Filipina to win the Miss Universe crown after Catriona Gray (2018), Pia Wurtzbach (2015), Margarita Moran (1973) and Gloria Diaz (1969).
