Just before the 69th Miss Universe coronation night kicks off in Hollywood, Florida, the organization posted a closer look at the “Power in Unity” crown made by luxury jewelry house Mouawad, together with the question on everyone’s minds:
“Who will take home the crown?” It simply said.
On its account, the the luxury jewelry house said the Miss Universe Power in Unity crown features a "central magnificent shield-cut 62.83 carat golden canary diamond" and two accompanying golden canary diamonds on either side.
While the central diamond denotes power, the two smaller diamonds "create a sense of harmony," Mouawad said.
In another post, Mouawad said the "interconnected vine motifs are meant to represent the community of women from around the world that reminds us we are stronger than apart."
Mouawad executives said their "challenge in crafting the extraordinary was to embrace the values of Miss Universe."
The crown, they said "represents ambition, diversity, community, and beauty."
