National Museum of the Philippines reopens with new safety protocols
The National Museum of the Philippines will accept visitors starting today, March 2, after almost a year since it closed its doors due to the pandemic.
According to a post shared on its Facebook page, the limited reopening is for the following locations—the National Museum of Fine Arts, National Museum of Anthropology, and the National Museum of Natural History.
It said its regional museums will also reopen soon, while the National Planetarium will remain closed until cinemas and theaters are allowed to operate in the National Capital Region.
The National Museum released guidelines for visitors, which include booking tickets online at least a day in advance. Walk-ins are not allowed.
The museum will be open Tuesdays to Sundays, 9 a.m. to 12 noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., and allow only up to 100 visitors per session.
Guests 15 to 65 years old are allowed and should wear face masks and face shields at the venue at all times.
“We at the National Museum of the Philippines are eager to welcome back our visitors, old and new,” it said. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
