Miss Universe Philippines 2020 candidates answer the question 'jowa or crown?'

In a quick question and answer with GMA News Online, Miss Universe Philippines 2020 candidates chose between having a "jowa or crown."

Without even thinking twice, most of the candidates chose the crown over having a significant other.

But a lot of them, like Miss Taguig Sandra Lemonon said, "I think a woman can do both."

Miss Bulacan Daniella Loya, on the other hand said, "if you're destined to have your love life it will come with or without the crown."

Miss Laguna Jo-Ann Flores, meanwhile, said having the crown can lead her to her "future jowa."

Maricres Castro of Muntinlupa also made a good point saying, "the man of your dreams will not be intimidated with a woman with ambition so go with the crown."

But we're really digging the confidence of Christine Nicole Silvernale of Angeles City: "I think I'm phenomenal enough to do both."

Over 40 candidates will be competing for the crown at the first Miss Universe Philippines on October 25. The final coronation event will be aired on GMA-7 at 9am. — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LA, GMA News
