OFW nurse paints the 'Last Supper' showing Jesus with different frontliners
An OFW nurse from Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates drew his own version of the Last Supper and instead of showing Jesus with the disciples, he drew Christ sitting with different kinds of COVID-19 frontliners.
The customized Last Supper painting showed Jesus sitting with a doctor, nurse, grocery worker, officer, flight attendant, delivery rider, chef, and fast food worker among others.
Instead of having food on the table like the original image, a poster was laid open showing an image of a person holding a signage that read "Thank You."
YouScooper Kim de Guzman said he worked on his painting at the end of every shift at the hospital.
De Guzman said he started drawing the artwork in April and only finished it on May 20.
Kim said he decided to create the artwork to give strength and hope to people.
"Lahat kasali, lahat mahalaga," Kim said.
Kim wants to remind fellow frontliners that they are not alone in this battle.
