Coachella is postponed to October due to COVID-19 concerns

Annual music and arts festival Coachella has been postponed to October due to novel coronavirus (COVID-19) concerns.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the organizers said the festival is rescheduled on October 9, 10, 11 and October 16, 17, and 18, 2020.

Coachella was supposed to take place in April at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. This year's lineup included Calvin Harris, Big Bang, Rex Orange County and Lewis Capaldi.

"While this decision comes at a time of universal uncertainty, we take the safety and health of our guests, staff and community very seriously," said Goldenvoice, the parent company of Coachella.

Tickets purchased for the April dates will be honored and procedures for refund will be announced on Friday, March 13, for those who could not attend in October.
