Why Pantone Classic Blue is good for stressed souls
Pantone Classic Blue is all the rage right now after being named as Color of the Year. But did you know that the trending color has calming properties that can relieve stressed souls?
"Blue is a very special color in nature and when we see blue in nature, iyon. Medyo mag-ii-stand out siya. Pag exposed tayo sa open skies at beaches, then nakakapang-kalma rin iyon," said psychologist Randy Dellosa in an interview with iJuander.
Those who are stressed might want to consider going to places that expose them to the deep blue shade, or using healing objects and wearing clothes with the popular hue.
A recent iJuander episode featured a resort that had blue-colored amenities.
The Aquaria WaterPark in Nasugbu, Batangas, has a water slide, restaurant seats, and floaters- all in blue. The WaterPark also featured a pool and beach where guests can relax.
If vacations and getaways are not your thing, using blue-themed healing crystals and wearing bright blue clothes might help relieve stress. This form of color therapy, according to Dellosa, affects the body's central nervous system in a positive way.
According to alternative and holistic healer Gil Cacha, blue crystals have specific qualities that can calm one's body.
Meanwhile, Dellosa said that wearing the color blue can also help stressed people.
"Eto 'yung medyo masayang blue, light colors. Kasi kung dark na color, it can also mean gloominess," he said. —Angelica Y. Yang/MGP, GMA News
