Miss Thailand is the new Miss International, PHL bet Patch Magtanong exits at Top 8

We were so close!

Despite securing a spot in the Top 8, the Philippines' representative Patricia Magtanong failed to make it to the Top 5 of the 59th Miss International.

During the coronation night held in Tokyo Dome City Hall in Japan on Tuesday, the 25-year old beauty queen and lawyer wasn't able to make the last cut.

Miss Thailand is the new Miss International. Rounding out her court are first runner up Miss Mexico, followed by Miss Uganda, Miss Colombia and Miss United Kingdom.

Aside from the big winners, other special awards were given to:

Miss International Oceania - Miss Hawaii
Miss International Africa - Miss Libera 
Miss International Asia - Miss Thailand
Miss International Europe - Miss Netherlands
Miss International America - Miss Peru
