Incorrupt heart of Padre Pio now in Batangas

The incorrupt heart of St. Padre Pio of Pietrelcina has arrived in Batangas for round-the-clock venerations until it departs the country on October 26.

According to a report on "News to Go," the heart was flown from Davao City to the Batangas air base on Wednesday morning.

The relic is set to be brought to the San Sebastian Cathedral in Lipa City for a concelebrated mass.

It will then be up for exclusive veneration at the Capuchin Monastery. The Capuchins are the Franciscan Order to which the Saint Padre Pio belongs to.

On Wednesday, the heart will be at National Shrine of Saint Padre Pio in Santo Tomas for veneration until it departs the country on October 26.

The relic arrived for its Philippine visit last October 5. — LA, GMA News
