Official 20th Cine Europa Film Festival screening schedule


The European Delegation to the Philippines and member states' embassies in partnership with Shangri-La Plaza are bringing 24 films from 16 countries to mark the 20th anniversary of the Cine Europa Film Festival. 

Admission to Cine Europa is free and cinephiles are invited to clear their schedule to catch old favorites and new classics.

The 20th Cine Europa Film Festival will run from September 16 to 26 at the Shang Cineplex. Public screening starts on September 17. 


In addition to the European offerings, two films by acclaimed director Brillante Mendoza will be screened at the Premiere Theater, namely “Kadaungan” and “Everlasting.”

Mendoza will also give a talk on film appreciation with Chot Reyes and Dexter Macaraeg.

Three more Filipino films will be screened: “2 Cool 2 Be 4gotten” by Petersen Vargas, Golden Leopard winner “Mula Sa Kung Ano Ang Noon” by director Lav Diaz, and a yet-to-be finished documentary  “Journeyman Finds A Home (The Life Story of Simone Rota).”
