Colombian artisans weave culture into Pope Francis’ vestments

When Pope Francis arrives in Colombia on September 6 he will be presented with handmade vestments and ornaments that represent the natural beauty and culture of this diverse country.

The vestments—consisting of traditional papal dress such as miters, stoles, chasubles and other items—will be white with colorful accents.

The Pope will be presented with different ensembles for each day of his trip that each represent a different region of the country.
