Find out what ‘Transformers: The Last Knight’ sneak peek showed fans
There’s a lot of great movies to look forward to this 2017, and the summer blockbuster season brings with sequels to established franchises that have proven time and again that they can draw millions of viewers to the box office.
One of these movies is the latest installment in Michael Bay’s long-running Transformers film franchise, “Transformers: The Last Knight,” which picks up right after the events of “Transformers: Age of Extinction” and promises to explore the “secret history” of the Transformers and their ties to Earth.
At a preview held at SM Megamall's IMAX Theater, United International Pictures Philippines and Columbia Pictures presented 20 minutes' worth of footage from “Transformers: The Last Knight.”

The sneak peek starts with King Arthur and his knights facing a great battle and awaiting the arrival of Merlin. We are then introduced to the legendary magician—a drunk who looks like he doesn't known what he has gotten himself into.
A new scene cuts to Merlin riding to a mountainside, where lie the buried remains of a spaceship.
In the present day, a couple of kids get into trouble and are spotted by robotic drones. They are saved by a young girl named Izabella (newcomer Isabela Moner), an orphan working with Autobots who are hiding from the humans hunting them. After one of her robot allies is killed, a mechanic named Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg) arrives to save Izabella and the children.
Later sequences establish Cade hiding out in a dump area filled with broken vehicles, where he, Bumblebee, and the rest of the surviving Autobots take refuge. Izabella tags along and wants to be part of Cade's struggle to fight for the Autobots, but he is reluctant to take her in.
More scenes cut to Cade and the others on the run. They are saved by the arrival of the robot Cogman, who takes Cade and Bumblebee to meet Sir Edmund Burton (Anthony Hopkins).
In Sir Edmund's castle somewhere in Europe, Cade and Bumblebee meet him, Hot Rod and a professor, Vivian Wembley (Laura Haddock). Burton starts to tell them about the "secret history" of the Transformers, including their time at the court of King Arthur.
“Transformers: The Last Knight” also stars John Goodman, John Turturro, Ken Watanabe and longtime Megatron voice Frank Welker. It will be released in conventional, 3D, and IMAX 3D theaters in the Philippines on June 21. — BM, GMA News
