Supergirl and Flash duet in sneak peek of musical episode

Who needs super speed and flight when you can sing?

The Flash (Grant Justin) and Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) will be singing and dancing in a special musical episode of “The Flash”—and a sneak peek of said episode has just been released, showing the two heroes crooning about the magic of friendship!

Episode 17 of Season 3 of “The Flash” is entitled “Duet,” and features the Flash and Supergirl, who find themselves trapped in an alternate world. Through the machinations of the Music Meister, the superheroes can only escape said world through the power of music.

The Music Meister is a villain who first appeared in the “Batman: The Brave and the Bold” animated TV series. In “The Flash,” he is played by Darren Criss from “Glee.”

The musical episode was directed by Dermott Downs. Its story was written by Andrew Kreisberg and Greg Berlanti, with Todd and Aaron Helbing behind the teleplay.

One of the songs was written by Rachel Bloom, who created and stars in “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.”
