Marvel unveils new look for Thor in EW issue

The first big major update on the next Marvel Studios film featuring the God of Thunder has arrived. In an exclusive, Entertainment Weekly has officially revealed Chris Hemsworth's new look in “Thor: Ragnarok”and some stills from the upcoming movie.

The third film in the Thor movie series also stars Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Anthony Hopkins as Odin, Cate Blanchett as Hela, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, and Jeff Goldblum as the mysterious guardian known as The Grandmaster.

Bearing the same title as the event in Norse mythology term in which the universe is destroyed after a great battle and eventually recreated, "Thor: Ragnarok" follows our hero, who imprisoned in another world after losing his hammer Mjolnir. He and is forced to do battle in an arena against his fellow Avenger and Bruce Banner’s alter ego, The Hulk. Things get even more complicated when Thor and Loki search for the missing Odin, and race against time to stop the evil Hela and the impending Ragnarok from being unleashed on Asgard.

In the exclusive EW photos, Hemsworth sports a short haircut and and brandishes twin swords in place of his trusty hammer. On either side of him are Academy Award winner Blanchett and “Creed” star Thompson.
