Old Binondo to come to life in first interactive Chinatown museum

Stories of Binondo's past will soon come alive in a museum dedicated to its colorful history.

Megaworld Lifestylye Malls, in partnership with National Geography, is working to create the first Chinatown Museum in the country.

"Binondo is a vibrant tale of four centuries worth of success amidst moments of oppression. It would be a marvel to relive this colorful history that has shaped not just the Chinese Filipino community, but the history of the country as a whole," Megaworld Corp. said in a press release.

The museum, once completed, will feature 15 interactive galleries equipped with apps and games that will take guests on a 400-year journey that molded Binondo to what it is now: a busy town of culture, commerce and tradition.
