ManilART 2016 celebrates and elevates Filipino art


ManilArt gears up as it puts on a show fitting of the theme "Ushering in a New Golden Age of Filipino Art.”

 

Now on its 8th year, ManilArt is the country's longest-running art fair.

Over the years, it has worked to build an awareness and appreciation of the best in Philippine art.

Leading this year's Walking Tour is University of the Philippines College of Fine Arts faculty member Lyn Yusi-Olazo.

Scultpor Danny Rayos del Sol returns as a this year's lounge designer and will also serve as the fair's overall curator.

This year, ManilART will play host to 1335 Mabini, 371 Art Space, Art For Space, Art Galileia, Arte Pintura, Artes Orientes, Artologist, Galeria Lienzo, Galerie Anna, Galerie Artes, Galerie Francesca, Galerie Raphael, Galerie Y, Galleria Nicolas, Galleria Quattrocento, Gallery Circa, Gallery CMG, Gallery Nine, Legacy Art Gallery, Reflections Gallery, Renaissance Gallery, Secret Fresh, Vmeme, and Ysobel Gallery.

Joining the local galleries are international exhibitors from 1st.iKON (South Korea), the Embassy of Armenia, and the Bruno Art Group, under which Argentinian artists Adriana Naveh and Calman Shemi, Azerbaijani artist Slava Ilyayev, and Israeli artists Uri Dushy and David Gerstein will present their works.

ManilART opens on October 6 and runs until October 9 at the SMX Convention Center, SM Aura.
