Style Arabia previews Michael Cinco sketches for Paris Fashion Week debut

Dubai-based fashion designer Michael Cinco makes history as the first Filipino to present his collection at Paris Fashion Week. Cinco will be presenting his Fall 2016 collection on July 3 at the Tuileries Garden on the first day of Paris: Haute Couture.

"Paris is the center of fashion and it’s the ultimate dream of every designer to show there. It has been mine since I started my career,” Cinco said in an interview for Gulf News in May, "I can’t believe that the federation chose me for their first ever show in Paris. This is such a big honor for me."

On June 20, Style.com/Arabia shared early sketches of Cinco's collection. 

Cinco moved to Dubai in 1997 and established his fashion house in 2003. Aside from this landmark appearance in the prestigious fashion event in France, Cinco holds the distinction of being the first Filipino designer to be featured in America's Next Top Model. 

He has dressed Tyra Banks, Naomi Campbell, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, and Jennifer Lopez among others. Cinco also designed Marian Rivera's wedding gown. — RSJ, GMA News
