Miss Peru trends as video, rumors circulate on social media
Beauty blog Missosology has identified yet another candidate who has spoken in favor of Miss Colombia Ariadna María Gutiérrez Arévalo.
In an interview aired in Colombian news outfit Noticias RCN, Miss Peru Laura Spoya was quoted as saying: "For all of us and I think for most people, Miss Colombia is Miss Universe."

Peruvian news sites, like La Republica, reported that Spoya also posted about #LaVerdaderaReina (the real queen) on Instagram, saying, "Tú eres Miss Universo para todas nosotras, Ariadna Gutiérrez. Eres la reina. Te quiero mucho, la vida tiene preparado algo mejo." (You are Miss Universe for all of us, Ariadna Gutiérrez. You're the queen. I love you so much, life has prepared something better.)
The post has been deleted and Spoya's account has been set to private.
Latin American candidates immediately displayed their support for Gutiérrez after the crown was taken from her, forming a small crowd onstage to comfort the heartbroken beauty queen.
They were also caught on camera chanting "Colombia! Colombia!" as Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach was being led away after a failed attempt to get closer to the tearful first runner-up.
Additionally, some Twitter users claim that the voice in the video asking Wurtzbach to step back was Spoya's.
