Miss Dominican Republic on Pia’s win: I'm very happy for the queen

Host Steve Harvey is still on an apology tour on Twitter, but as Pia Wurtzbach put it when she was crowned Binibining Pilipinas on her third try, "Don't be afraid to make mistakes...Huwag kayong masyadong matakot magkamali."

Meanwhile, fans and fellow candidates are already celebrating the dramatic win, including Miss Dominican Republic, who described the announcement twist as "shocking" and "crazy."

In a video shot by GMA contributor Marvin Tomandao, Miss Dominican Republic said, "I'm very happy for the queen," when asked who should have won the Miss Universe crown. 

Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach was equally "shocked" after learning that she wasn't just first runner up after all.
