QC’s old New Frontier Theater to be rehabilitated

The decades-old New Frontier Theater in Cubao, Quezon City has gotten a new lease on life.

On Wednesday the Araneta Group signed a deal with Kia Motors' Philippine distributor, Columbian Autocar Corporation, giving the latter multi-year naming rights and allowing it to build a new structure to replace the old theater.

To be named the Kia Theater, the new venue will include a 2,385-seat theater; a 306-square-meter Kia showroom, and retail outlets and dining establishments.

Present at the signing on Wednesday were Palawan Governor and CAC chairman Jose Alvarez, CAC president Ginia R. Domingo, Araneta Center management consultant J. Rowell L. Recinto, and Araneta Group chairman, CEO, and president Jorge L. Araneta.

The Kia Theater will open in September. — BM, GMA News
