LOOK: Leyte artists paint Yolanda thanksgiving mural on ceiling of Tacloban church
To mark the "second life" they got after surviving super Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) in 2013, a group of Leyte-based artists has painted a “thanksgiving mural” in a church in Yolanda-hit Tacloban City.
While the ceiling mural started as a for-profit project of the KasiKasi Art Association, its members eventually thought of turning the venture into a work of thanks to God.

“For each of us to do this mural is a thanksgiving,” Crispin Asensi, a member of the group, said in an article on the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines news site.
“We are survivors of typhoon Yolanda and are still here given the chance to paint once more and to thank God for this new life,” he added.
Other members of the gorup include Ernie Ybañez, Rico Palacio, Dante Enage, Archie Zabala, Archie Prisno, Billy Pormida, Jass Diaz and Jun Olimberio.
Yolanda devastated the Visayas in November 2013, leaving behind more than 6,300 dead in its wake.
