Free admission to World War II museum in Taguig this week



 
From Monday to Friday this week—April 5 to 11 is Veterans' Week—admission to the The Board of Trustees for the Veterans of World War II (BTVWWII) Museum is free, the institution said in a statement.

The museum, which usually charges P150 per regular visitor and P75 per student, is dedicated to the country's World War II veterans.

According to its statement, the museum houses life-sized tableaus of skirmishes, ambushes, and raids; paintings depicting the country during the war; war-era photographs, and soldiers' equipment and weapons such as water canteens, medals, guerrilla notes, knives, handguns, and high-caliber rifles. — BM, GMA News

The BTVWWII Museum (838-6667 or 838-6964) in Veterans Center, Taguig is open from Mondays to Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
