The Battle of Abucay Line in Bataan was a drawn-out, intense battle fought by the Philippine Scouts, the US Army and the Philippine Army against Japanese troops in January 1942. It was a momentous display of courage and heroism among Filipino freedom fighters that resulted in heavy casualties on the enemy side.
To relive this heroic battle, the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), MD Juan Enterprises, the Philippine Living History Philippine Society and the Philippine Army in cooperation with HERO Foundation, Inc. organized its annual benefit activity, "Kagitingan: A reenactment of the Battle of Abucay, Bataan 1942,” on the Hunters ROTC Guerilla Parade Ground, Philippine Army Headquarters in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on Sunday.
