Rayver Cruz issues apology over viral livestream with Julie Anne San Jose: 'I was just being myself'

Rayver Cruz issued an apology shortly after clips of his livestream with Julie Anne San Jose went viral.

On X (formerly Twitter), a netizen posted three clips from a recent livestream of the couple where the two were answering questions from netizens about their performances and the preparations behind them.

In the video, the Kapuso actor could be seen in a jolly mood that distracted Julie while she was talking on the livestream. Some people were also offended about Rayver subtly tapping Julie's head at one point. 

In a tweet, Rayver apologized to those who were offended by his actions in the livestream.

"Sa mga na-offend sa kilos ko kanina sa livestream namin, sorry," he wrote. "But I was just being myself."

"Playful and happy talaga ako, lalo na when I'm with my love," he added. "She knows that, she knows me."

Rayver also said he doesn't usually react to bashers, but it's a different story when accusations are involved.

"Una, hinding-hindi ko kayang saktan si Julie," he said. "My mom raised me right."

"Hinawakan ko 'yung buhok niya na lagi kong ginagawa sa mga iba pa naming videos 'pag magkasama kami pero kung iba po ang dating sa ibang tao, wala na po ako magagawa d'un," he added.

Rayver also said he respects and loves Julie, as well as her family.

"Pangalawa, may respeto ako sa trabaho ko at sa mga katrabaho ko," he said.

"Hinding hindi ako gagawa ng makakasira d'un," he added. "At sana, matuto na rin tayo rumespeto sa iba at maging malawak ang pag-iisip."

In a separate post, the Asia's Limitless Star also defended Rayver.

"Minsan lang po ako sumagot sa mga ganto but sobra ka na po," Julie said. "Below the belt and harsh na po itong accusations, please stop."

Julie Anne and Rayver sparked romance rumors in 2022. They publicly exchanged "I love yous" at the JulieVerse concert that same year.

The couple has also discussed marriage, with Rayver confident he will marry Julie. The singer and actress also revealed that she wants a simple wedding.
