Viral 'Jacuzzi pares' on TikTok is the brainchild of an inspiring PWD in Taguig

28-year-old Romnick Cambiado demonstrates that a disability is not a hindrance to achieving one’s dreams.

In Martin Javier’s “Game Changer” segment on “24 Oras,” Friday, Romnick Cambiado’s viral pares takes center stage, with customers raving about how affordable and filling each serving is.

For just P55, customers can enjoy pares with rice, while the pares mami costs P45.

On TikTok, netizens refer to Romnick’s pares as “Jacuzzi pares” because when he mixes the dish inside the big cauldron, the braised beef stew moves like water inside a jacuzzi, complete with a smoke effect.

The business sells three to four big cauldrons of pares a day, proving that many enjoy savoring the stew and pairing it with ample servings of garlic rice.

What makes Romnick’s pares even more inspiring, besides being a hit online and at his stall, is his personal story.

With dedication and perseverance, you wouldn’t even realize he’s an amputee. Despite missing one of his legs, he remains committed to keeping his business running.

“Nasagasaan po ako ng bus sumemplang ‘yung motor kong dala. Pag semplang ko, bus naman po yung nakasagasa sakin ‘yung kaliwang paa,” he shared.

[I got into an accident while riding my motorcycle. When I crashed, a bus ran over my left leg.]

“Sabi ko sa sarili ko kaya ko pa. Kaya pagpapatuloy ko yung pagtitinda ko ng pares. Mag-iipon ako para magkasarili akong business na paresan,” he added.

[I told myself I can still do it. I will continue selling pares. I will save money so I can have my own pares business.]

Keep inspiring more people, Romnick!
