Netizens have mixed reactions to Francis Magalona's alleged lover Abegail Rait, daughter Francesca
Netizens had mixed reactions to Abegail Rait, the woman who claimed that she had a relationship with the late Francis Magalona and that they had a daughter together.
In a vlog published by Boss Toyo Production titled "Pinoy Pawnstar Ep. 267 - Worth 700K? King of Rap Signature (Another HolyGrail)," Abegail sold a jersey allegedly worn by Francis M and a photo with a written letter dedicated to her for P500,000.
Abegail said she met Francis M. when she watched an episode of "Eat Bulaga" live, and the rapper found a way to get her number.
She also said their relationship was real and that she's only speaking about it now to tell people that she and her daughter, Gaile Francesca, exist.
In the comment section, some netizens sympathized with Abegail for speaking their truth in public after 15 years, while some people said they feel sorry for Francis's legal wife, Pia Magalona, and their family.
One YouTube user said he had goosebumps while watching the vlog.
"Huwag po natin i-judge si Ma'am Abby, nagmahal lang po siya, at hindi po niya kasalanan yon. Naging tapat lng siya," he said.
Meanwhile, some viewers also said they could see the resemblance of Francis M. and her alleged daughter Gaile.
"Legit na legit, mula pangalan, mukha at talent. No doubt anak nga ni master rapper," one comment read.
On X (formerly Twitter), some netizens who have watched the episode didn't like Abegail's tone in telling her side of the story.
"Walang kasalanan ang bata pero hindi ko lang bet tono ng pananalita ng mama niya na parang utang pa ng pamilya ni Francis Magalona kung bakit siya nanahimik for 15 years," one user said.
Meanwhile, other netizens said cheating is cheating and should not be tolerated nor celebrated.
"Cheater pala si Francis M. Bakit nino-normalize n'yo lang?" another said.
As of writing, the vlog has over 1.3 million views within just a day of posting.
Francis M. died in 2009 due to Acute Myelogenous Leukemia.
GMA News Online reached out to Pia and her two daughters, Saab and Maxene Magalona, for comments, but they have yet to respond as of posting.
