Slater Young addresses flak received by real estate project in Cebu
Slater Young has issued a statement after his real estate project in Cebu drew backlash from netizens.
On Instagram Stories, Tuesday, the engineer and media personality said the response to The Rise at Monterrazas was "honestly overwhelming" but he said he appreciated everyone who took the time to comment.
Inspired by the Banaue Rice Terraces, the condominium project is nestled on a mountainside. Netizens expressed concerns about its impact on the environment.
"Narinig namin lahat ng mga concerns ninyo," Slater said. "We continue to engage even more expert groups and environmental advocates to look over our plans and our goal here is to listen."
According Slater, the development team for the project is composed of architects, engineers, and sustainability experts, who have been working on it for a long time.
"We went through about 300 revisions just to make sure that we build this according to the best practice possible," he said.
He said he will keep posting updates on the project to inform the public of any developments.
"You deserve full transparency about this project and we share all your concerns and we will continue to listen," he said. "Thank you so much guys for all your love and support."
This is not the first time that Slater went under fire from netizens.
Previously, Slater drew flak for his statement that it's normal for committed men to "fantasize" about other women. He later apologized and admitted that he was wrong.
Slater is married to influencer Kryz Uy. They have two sons, Scottie and Sevi.
