KMJS' video on Filipino vlogger Boy Tapang and his Fil-Am girlfriend gets over 10M views on FB under 24 hours

Nothing beats a good ol' love story, indeed.

Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho's feature on the love story of Filipino mukbang vlogger Ronnie Suan aka Boy Tapang and his Fil-Am girlfriend LJ Satterfield aka Girl Tapang has generated more than 10M views on Facebook in less than 24 hours. Wow.  

In Sundays's episode of the top-rating magazine TV show, Boy Tapang recalled how he first met Girl Tapang, and how he courted her.

Known for his videos of eating exotic food, alive insects, and other unimaginable things, Boy Tapang admitted that while his stomach could endure almost anything, he still had a weakness: women.

The year 2022 was pretty rough for Boy Tapang in terms of love but when he stumbled upon LJ on social media, he felt the urge to shoot his shot at love again.

Boy Tapang initially doubted LJ because she looked too good to be true. 

“Sabi ko, baka poser ‘to, maputi, maganda, matangos ilong,” Boy Tapang told KMJS.

But his attraction to LJ was too real to ignore. He messaged her. 

Despite not receiving any replies, Boy Tapang continued to pursue her, until that one fateful day when he got an emoji reply.

“Tuloy-tuloy ako nang pag-chat hanggang na-notice niya ‘yung message ko. Ang reply niya lang sa 'kin emoji,” he said.

On KMJS, LJ admitted to replying with an emoji. That was to let him know that yes, she saw his messages.

When she checked Boy Tapang’s videos on YouTube, her curiosity about this persistent young man was finally piqued. 

They went on a coffee run for their first meet-up, and the rest is history.

“Sobrang kulit niya,” GIrl Tapang said. "Kwela kasi siya, napapasaya niya ako," she added.

According to LJ, she is usually attracted to fair-skinned men but that standard went away when he instantly clicked with Boy Tapang.

On YouTube some 11 days ago, Boy Tapang finally released his jowa reveal video, saying “Hindi man ako sinwerte sa mga ex-girlfriend ko na Pinay, baka para talaga ako sa foreigner.” 

His vlog currently has 2.1M views on YouTube.

As of writing meanwhile, KMJS' FB video on Boy Tapang has amassed more than 13M views with nearly 1M reactions.

On YouTube, the KMJS video is currently on the 4th spot of the trending list with nearly 800K views. — LA, GMA Integrated News
